ABOUT US

...imagine a world where no one dies of cancer!

Who we are.

We are a non-governmental organisation focused on creating awareness about cancer through awareness, prevention, early detection and treatment. The aim of Global Cancer Awareness Foundation is saving lives across all populations through cancer prevention and early detection.

This organisation, otherwise known as GLOBAL CANCER AWARENESS FOUNDATION, was born out of events that deeply affected the founder REV. DR WILSON EZEOFOR.

He recalls the experience of his mother dying of cancer:
“Before then, I had heard about cancer, but had never actually seen a cancer patient. When my mother was struck by cancer, it exposed me to this monster and the ensuing havoc that it leaves in its wake. This disease torments its victims, and I can only describe it as a deadly disease that I would not wish on my worst enemy.

When I entered the cancer patients’ ward in the hospital and heard their cry, my heart melted with compassion. After my mother had undergone all the tests, we were told that her case was terminal, but that had we brought her on time, she would have survived. Since then, it has been my desire to help with efforts to discover this killer disease in its early stages before it claims the lives of the afflicted.

By the grace of God, we will expose this monster to everyone wherever we go so that its victims will be as few as possible.”

It is for this reason that the GLOBAL CANCER AWARENESS FOUNDATION was born.

The foundation is fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of Nigeria.
